The Woodbury Royals and the Roseville Raiders skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Woodbury found itself down againt Roseville, but battled back to secure to a 2-2 (OT) tie.

The Royals put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Raiders to score on any of their three power plays. Woodbury's offense rang up 32 shots on Roseville's net.

The Royals were led by Ryan Winter, who racked up one goal and one assist. Winter scored 15:35 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Alex Albright picked up the assist. Woodbury also got a goal from Sasha Choporov as well. Other players who recorded assists for Woodbury were Jordan Graham, who had one.

The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Woodbury power plays. Woodbury was unable to stop Roseville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.

Roseville was helped by Riley McCann, who had one goal. McCann scored 3:05 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Roseville. Ross Stecklein assisted on the tally. Matt Irwin also scored for Roseville. In addition, Roseville received assists from Ryan Larson, who had one.

The Royals' Connor Kwiatkowski stopped 49 shots out of the 51 that he faced. Woodbury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Zach Larson rejected 30 shots on goal for the Raiders. Roseville ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major.
