The White Bear Lake Bears and the Woodbury Royals skate to 3-3 (OT) tieVadnas Heights Sports Complex Sat, Dec 01, 2012 White Bear Lake found itself down againt Woodbury, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie. The Bears' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Woodbury power plays. White Bear Lake forced the Royals goalie Connor Kwiatkowski to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Bears were led by Jake Wahlin, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Wahlin scored the first of his two goals at 37 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jake Dittel assisted on the tally. Wahlin's next tally made the score 3-2 Woodbury with 5:08 left in the third period. Dittel picked up the assist. Tommy Giller also scored for White Bear Lake. In addition, White Bear Lake received assists from Thomas Delaney, who had one. Woodbury put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow White Bear Lake to score on any of its four power plays. The Royals were led by Ford Pendleton, who had one goal and one assist. Pendleton scored 2:08 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Woodbury. Jack Glaeser assisted on the tally. Woodbury additionally got points from Glaeser, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Woodbury also got a goal from Geno Demke as well. More assists for Woodbury came via Mark Dornfeld, Seth Winger, and Alex Albright, who contributed one a piece. Michael St. Martin rejected 16 shots on goal for the Bears. White Bear Lake ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Woodbury's Kwiatkowski stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Royals ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
