Eastview downs Woodbury, 5-2

Mitch Beattie racked up two points to lead the Eastview Lightning to a 5-2 victory over the Woodbury Royals.

Eastview managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Lightning finished below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. Eastview kept Woodbury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Connor Kwiatkowski made 41 saves on 46 shots.

Eastview also got a goal from Mitchell Cerrato as well. In addition, Eastview received assists from John Snodgrass, who had two and Mike Stillings, Ryan McNamara, Pierce Erickson, Kevin Wobschall, and Keith Muehlbauer, who each chipped in one.

The Royals were led by Geno Demke, who tallied one goal. Demke scored short handed 2:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Eastview. Woodbury played down a man on Alex Albright's slashing. Sasha Choporov also scored for Woodbury.

Matthew Montgomery made 14 saves for the Lightning on 16 shots. Eastview registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Royals totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
