Hastings beats Farmington 6-2 as Siewart gets hat trick

Bailey Siewart lifted the Hastings Raiders to a 6-2 victory with a hat trick against the Farmington Tigers.

Siewart's first goal came 4:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:28 into the first and at 14:54 into the first.

Hastings' offense rang up 32 shots on Farmington's net. The Raiders capitalized on the Tigers' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Hastings also got points from Matt Flynn, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Mark Huneke also scored for Hastings. More assists for Hastings came via Blake Berg, who had three and Matt Koch, Zach Mellick, Andrew Bussey, Brandon Boogreen, and Andy Neuman, who contributed one a piece.

Farmington was led by Kevin Olund, who had one goal and one assist. Olund scored on the power play 2:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Farmington. The Tigers had gotten the advantage when Hastings' Neuman was sent off for holding. Farmington also got a goal from Justin Novak as well.

Matt Radke recorded 19 saves for the Raiders. Hastings ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Farmington's Nick Schoening stopped 26 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Tigers totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
