Dodge County shrugs off penalties, upends Waseca, 5-2Waseca Mon, Feb 04, 2013 The Dodge County Wildcats' penalty kill was superb, as Dodge County survived multiple penalties to beat the Waseca Bluejays, 5-2. The Wildcats were led by Thor Knutson, who grabbed one goal. Knutson scored on the power play 6:23 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Dodge County. Dodge County had gained a power play chance when Wyatt Krampitz was whistled for high sticking. Tanner Dufault provided the assist. The Wildcats kept Waseca's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austin Stroda made 39 saves on 44 shots. Dodge County also got points from Dufault, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Samuel Robinson, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Spencer Senn, who also registered one goal and one assist. Dodge County also got a goal from Cory Schillo as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dodge County were Stefan Rechtzigel, who had one. The Bluejays were led by Cody Ulfers, who tallied one goal and one assist. Ulfers scored 9:46 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Dakota Johnson picked up the assist. Michael Priebe also scored for Waseca. Mitch Sobotta made 24 saves for Dodge County on 26 shots. The Wildcats totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Waseca incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
