Benilde St. Margarets rips Totino-Grace, 7-4

The Benilde St. Margarets Red Knights had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-4 win over the Totino-Grace Eagles.

Nate Labosky had one goal and three assists to lead Benilde St. Margarets. Labosky scored 1:10 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Benilde St. Margarets. T.J. Moore picked up the assist.

The Red Knights excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. With 38 shots on target during the contest, Benilde St. Margarets exceeded the 16.4 shots it averages per game this year.

Benilde St. Margarets additionally got points from Johnny Austin, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Spencer Naas, who also had two goals and one assist. Benilde St. Margarets also got a goal from Grant Besse as well. In addition, Benilde St. Margarets received assists from Mark Kaske, who had one and Chase Jungels, who had two.

Totino-Grace's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. The Eagles give up 2.4 goals per game.

Totino-Grace was helped by TJ Roo, who racked up two goals and one assist. Roo scored the first of his two goals at 5:08 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Derek Lodermeier assisted on the tally. Roo's next tally made the score 7-4 Benilde St. Margarets with 9:06 left in the third period. Lodermeier picked up the assist. Noah Vosen also scored for Totino-Grace. More assists for Totino-Grace came via Charlie Miller and Jason Krych, who each chipped in one.

The Red Knights' Paul Lundberg stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Benilde St. Margarets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Rory Davidowski rejected 31 shots on goal for the Eagles.
