Princeton blows out Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson, 5-0

The Princeton Tigers were firing on all cylinders against the Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs, and when the final buzzer sounded Tigers emerged with a 5-0 win.

Princeton was paced by Collin Buness, who racked up one goal and one assist. Buness scored 1:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Princeton. Dan Muench picked up the assist.

The Tigers' defensive effort looked to be improved. Princeton averages 2.5 goals allowed per game. The Tigers' offense rang up 39 shots on Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson's net. Princeton got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Princeton additionally got points from Muench, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jake Green also scored for Princeton. In addition, Princeton received assists from Daniel Voce, Justin Carlson, A.J. Wesloh, Cam Paulson, Joey Stenslie, and Tommy Schroepfer, who each chipped in one.

The Mustangs did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson averages 5.3 goals per game.

Robert Zimmer recorded 21 saves for the Tigers. Princeton totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Mustangs' Tanner Baxley stopped 34 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
