Huge game by Christman boosts Minneapolis over Robbinsdale Cooper, 7-4New Hope North Sat, Dec 01, 2012 Henry Christman was all over the ice for the Minneapolis Novas, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Minneapolis' 7-4 win over the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks. Christman found the back of the net on the power play nine seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minneapolis and again while on the power play 15:49 into the third to make the score 7-4 Minneapolis.In a losing effort, Robbinsdale Cooper was led by Alex Stager, who racked up two goals. Stager scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:20 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Minneapolis. A slashing penalty on Jack Larson had put the Hawks on the power play. Hayden Gautsche assisted on the tally. Stager's next tally on the power play made the score 5-4 Minneapolis with 17:17 left in the third period. Robbinsdale Cooper had gotten the advantage when the Novas' Tony Pnewski was sent off for roughing. Trey Rooney picked up the assist. Minneapolis forced the Hawks goalie Angel Hillstrom to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Novas were hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. Minneapolis also got points from Peter Hacker, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Stellan Christensen, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Josh Martin, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Minneapolis also got a goal from Ross Nesbit as well. Other players who recorded assists for Minneapolis were Simon Bergford, Joe Guimont, Jimmy Roth, and Ian Whitehead, who each chipped in one. Robbinsdale Cooper additionally got points from Gautsche, who also registered one goal and one assist. Parker Jacobs also scored for Robbinsdale Cooper. In addition, Robbinsdale Cooper received assists from Dylan Erickson, who had one and Greg Nightingale, who had two. TJ Moseley rejected 19 shots on goal for Minneapolis. The Novas registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Hillstrom recorded 26 saves for Robbinsdale Cooper. The Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
