Legacy Christian Academy falls to Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs' Troy Jones scored 5:48 into overtime to beat the Legacy Christian Academy Lions, 2-1 (OT).

Jones was all over the ice for Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson, as he grabbed two goals in the win.

The Mustangs were led by goalie Tanner Baxley, who finished with 35 saves while allowing one goal. Baxley certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.36 entering the contest.

Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Mustangs average 5.4 goals per game.

Other players who recorded assists for Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson were Dylan Libra, who had two and Derek Graves and Joe Chmiel, who each chipped in one.

Legacy Christian Academy's offense operated below it season average. The Lions put an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson was unable to stop Legacy Christian Academy from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lions eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Legacy Christian Academy was led by Brock Thompson, who scored the team's only goal. Thompson scored 13:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Leier picked up the assist.

The Mustangs avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of two power plays. The Lions' Tanner Balk stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Legacy Christian Academy incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
