Winona boosted by Yeske's play in net, beats Rochester John Marshall 4-1

Michael Lubahn was all over the ice for the Winona Winhawks, as he tallied two goals in Winona's 4-1 win over the Rochester John Marshall Rockets.

Lubahn scored on the power play at 12:32 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Winona and again while 13:55 into the second to make the score 4-0 Winona.

The Winhawks were led by goalie Andrew Yeske, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Yeske managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.07 prior to the game.

Winona excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Winona also got a goal from Skyler Grossell as well. Other players who recorded assists for Winona were Alex Johnson, who had two and Luke Hemker, Jake Kline, and Cal Thompson, who each chipped in one.

The Winhawks totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Jacob Garvey recorded 16 saves for Rochester John Marshall. The Rockets incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
