Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter blows out Windom Area, 5-0

The Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter Bulldogs had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Windom Area Eagles.

Sam Wenner had two goals and one assist to lead Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter. Wenner scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter. The Bulldogs had taken the advantage when Windom Area's Kyle Luhmann got sent off for checking from behind. Brett Zallek provided the assist. Wenner's next tally on the power play made the score 5-0 Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter with 7:51 left in the third period. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter was on a disadvantage when Ryan Moriarty went off the ice for interference. Austin Braun picked up the assist.

The Bulldogs featured an improved defense during the game. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter averages 2.6 goals allowed per game. The Bulldogs kept the Eagles' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ben Stubbe made 28 saves on 33 shots.
