Huge game by Bartosh boosts Windom Area over Morris/Benson Area, 10-6

The Windom Area Eagles' Zach Bartosh had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing one assist in his team's 10-6 win over the Morris/Benson Area Storm.

Bartosh's first goal came 2:38 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:23 into the first, at 57 seconds into the second, and at 10:14 into the third.

Morris/Benson Area was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Windom Area was able to score four times while on the power play.

The Eagles kept the Storm's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kyle Kennedy made 39 saves on 49 shots. Windom Area surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Eagles have scored at the pace of 7.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

Windom Area additionally got points from Travis Janssen, who also registered two goals and one assist. Windom Area also had goals scored by Dylan Pigman, who had one and Devin Neilsen, who had three. More assists for Windom Area came via Kyle Luhmann, who had three and Stuart Schumacher, Ryan Clark, and Tyler Presthus, who each chipped in one.

Morris/Benson Area's offense rang up 35 shots on Windom Area's net.

The Storm were led by Mac Beyer, who had three goals and one assist. Others who scored for Morris/Benson Area included Jordan Staples, who had one and Taner Gimberlin, who had two. In addition, Morris/Benson Area received assists from Corey Goff, who had one and Tanner Picht, who had two.

The Eagles' Ben Stubbe stopped 29 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Windom Area incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Morris/Benson Area totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
