Behind a great game by Blake Neumann, who had two goals and one assist, the New Ulm Eagles defeated the Waseca Bluejays, 5-2.

Neumann's tallies came on the power play at 4:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 20 seconds into the third to make the score 4-2 New Ulm.

New Ulm kept Waseca's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austin Stroda made 56 saves on 61 shots.

New Ulm also got points from Judd Davis, who also had one goal and two assists and Brandon Helget, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Colin Huffman also scored for New Ulm. More assists for New Ulm came via Cole Dulas, who had one and Wyatt Peterson, who had three.

The Bluejays found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere 11 shots against the Eagles' defense.

Waseca was led by Cody Ulfers, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Ulfers scored 16:28 into the second period to make the score 3-2 New Ulm. Waseca also got a goal from JP Eykyn as well. In addition, Waseca received assists from CJ Nordquis, who had one.

Cody Banal made nine saves for New Ulm on 11 shots. The Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Bluejays incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
