The Waseca Bluejays and the La Crescent Lancers skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Waseca rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie La Crescent, 4-4 (OT).

The Bluejays' offense rang up 36 shots on the Lancers' net.

Waseca was led by Cody Ulfers, who registered two goals. Ulfers scored the first of his two goals short handed at 14:38 into the second period to make the score 4-3 La Crescent. The Bluejays played down a man on Jack Johnson's interference. Jesse Ungs provided the assist. Ulfers' next tally short handed made the score 4-4 with 18:00 left in the third period. Waseca also got a goal from Dakota Johnson as well. In addition, Waseca received assists from Michael Kunz, Wyatt Krampitz, and Ben Johnson, who contributed one a piece.

La Crescent managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Lancers ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. La Crescent kept Waseca's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zac Weichert made 34 saves on 38 shots.

The Lancers were led by Jevin Dorscher, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Dorscher scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:29 into the first period to make the score 2-2. La Crescent earned a power play opportunity when Daniel Stroda was put in the box for cross checking. Nick Moser assisted on the tally. Dorscher's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 La Crescent with 15:18 left in the second period. Justin Paul picked up the assist. La Crescent additionally got points from Paul, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Carter Schmitz also scored for La Crescent. More assists for La Crescent came via Gage Undahl, who had one and Jason Witt, who had two.

The Bluejays incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Levi Thesing made 32 saves for the Lancers on 36 shots. La Crescent registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
