Austin blows out Waseca, 7-1Waseca Tue, Dec 04, 2012 The Austin Packers were firing on all cylinders against the Waseca Bluejays, and when the final buzzer sounded Packers emerged with a 7-1 win. Austin got the win on the strength of a great game by Marcus Stoulil, who had two goals and one assist. Stoulil scored the first of his two goals at 7:49 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Austin. Conor Peterson assisted on the tally. Stoulil's next tally made the score 6-1 Austin with 11:33 left in the third period. The Packers' offense rang up 54 shots on Waseca's net. Others who scored for Austin included Dan Larson, who had one and Tony Baudler and Ethan larson, who scored two goals each. In addition, Austin received assists from Cole Nicol, who had two and Pat Wagner, Trevor Stevens, and Nick Castellano, who each chipped in one. Austin's defense shut down the Bluejays' forwards for much of the game, and Waseca got off only six shots during the contest. The Bluejays were led by JP Eykyn, who scored the team's only goal. Eykyn scored 4:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Austin. Cody Ulfers picked up the assist. Jacob Johnnson made five saves for the Packers on six shots. Austin incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Austin Stroda rejected 47 shots on goal for Waseca. The Bluejays incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
