Duluth Denfeld completes comeback, beats Warroad, 3-2The Gardens Sat, Jan 26, 2013 The Duluth Denfeld Hunters rallied from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over the Warroad Warriors. Duluth Denfeld never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Hunters fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Warroad's Jared Bethune at 8:30 in the second period. Duluth Denfeld tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Levi Talarico at 13:59 in the second period. The Hunters scored the game winner at 14:40 in the third period on a goal by Talarico. Talarico had a great game for Duluth Denfeld, netting two goals. The Hunters' offense was clicking better than usual and put 32 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.1 shots per game they average. Duluth Denfeld additionally got points from Nick Thompson, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Duluth Denfeld received assists from Alex Larson, Wyatt Wutz, Alex Thomspon, Reid Lemker, and Myles Leonzal, who each chipped in one. The Warriors kept Duluth Denfeld's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Thompson made 32 saves on 34 shots. Warroad also got points from Kobe Roth, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Warroad came via Ben Smieja and Kyle Sylvester, who contributed one a piece. The Hunters incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Justin King recorded 29 saves for Warroad. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
