St. Michael-Albertville uses big second period to beat Waconia, 6-0Waconia Ice Arena Tue, Jan 08, 2013 The Waconia Wildcats allowed the St. Michael-Albertville Knights to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-0. Matt Borgen frustrated Waconia's offense all game, and stopped 28 shots en route to a shutout. Borgen certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.36 entering the contest. St. Michael-Albertville was led by Tyler Hayes, who racked up one goal. Hayes scored 11:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michael-Albertville. David Anderson provided the assist. The Knights stifled the Wildcats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Michael-Albertville bested its season scoring average.
