Matt Borgen frustrated Waconia's offense all game, and stopped 28 shots en route to a shutout. Borgen certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.36 entering the contest.

St. Michael-Albertville was led by Tyler Hayes, who racked up one goal. Hayes scored 11:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michael-Albertville. David Anderson provided the assist.
