The Northfield Raiders' Nathan Scofield scored 58 seconds into overtime to beat the Waconia Wildcats, 2-1 (OT).

Waconia was stymied by Northfield netminder Spencer Jones, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Jones managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.88 prior to the game.

The Raiders were sparked by Scofield, who finished with one goal and one assist.

Northfield kept the Wildcats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Kovach made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Northfield also got a goal from Andrew Scofield as well. Other players who recorded assists for Northfield were Taylor Freiermuth, who had one.

Waconia stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Wildcats were held below their usual level of production. Waconia averages 3.5 goals per game. Northfield was unable to stop the Wildcats from sending pucks towards the net, and Waconia eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

The Wildcats were led by Tanner Riebel, who scored the team's only goal. Riebel scored on the power play 15:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Waconia. Waconia had gained a power play chance when Logan VonRuden was whistled for hooking. Kevin Kittleson picked up the assist.

The Raiders totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play. The Wildcats incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
