Miller leads Superior WI over Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl, 7-1

The Superior WI Spartans' Aaron Miller had a big offensive game, scoring five goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-1 win over the Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl Blue Devils.

Miller notched his first tally 52 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 9:58 into the second, at 14:30 into the second, at 2:14 into the third, and at 3:50 into the third.

Superior WI found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Spartans average 4.2 goals per contest. Superior WI cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Superior WI additionally got points from Tyler Nystrom, who also had one goal and two assists. Daniel Mikel also scored for Superior WI. In addition, Superior WI received assists from Aaron Wakefield-Zubia, who had three.

Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl was led by Zach Voss, who scored the team's only goal. Voss scored short handed 21 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl. Travis Kemp assisted on the tally.

Zach Reiswig recorded 24 saves for the Spartans. Superior WI incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Lucas Murray made 21 saves for the Blue Devils on 28 shots. Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
