St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad blows out St. Paul Johnson, 6-0

The St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad Spartans had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over the St. Paul Johnson Governors.

Jared Mickelson had two goals to lead St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad to victory. Mickelson's tallies came at 5:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad and 13:15 into the third to make the score 6-0 St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad.

The Spartans excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad also got points from Jake Westfield, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad also got a goal from Justin Jallen as well. In addition, St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Acad received assists from Drew Blackmum, who had two and Karl Hommeyer, Jordan Moradian, Evan Dahlseide, and Tyler Seplak, who contributed one a piece.
