St. Paul Johnson rides Moberg to victory over Minnehaha Academy, 2-1PSI Internal Staff Tue, Jan 08, 2013 The St. Paul Johnson Governors relied on the sparkling performance of Samuel Moberg in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks. St. Paul Johnson was paced by Ethan Ranum, who registered one goal. Ranum scored 12:35 into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Paul Johnson. Matthew Blees picked up the assist. The Governors stifled Minnehaha Academy's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Paul Johnson's offense rang up 40 shots on the Red Hawks' net. Mitchell Feske also scored for St. Paul Johnson. In addition, St. Paul Johnson received assists from Thomas Murphy and Jake Solheid, who each chipped in one. Minnehaha Academy was held below its usual level of production. The Red Hawks put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. Minnehaha Academy was led by Ryan Evenson, who scored the team's only goal. Evenson scored 14:40 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Minnehaha Academy. Nick Terlizzi assisted on the tally. Moberg rejected 27 shots on goal for the Governors. St. Paul Johnson incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Red Hawks' Matt Sawyer stopped 38 shots out of the 40 that he faced.
