The Warroad Warriors relied on the scoring touch of Kobe Roth, who netted two goals, to beat the St. Cloud Tech Tigers, 3-1.

Roth scored at 1:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Warroad and again while 14:37 into the third to make the score 3-1 Warroad.

Warroad also got a goal from Casey Anderson as well. In addition, Warroad received assists from Brandon Newhouse, who had one and Ben Smieja, who had three.

St. Cloud Tech managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Tigers wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. St. Cloud Tech could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Tigers average 4.0 goals per game.

St. Cloud Tech was led by Justin Oberg, who scored the team's only goal. Oberg scored on the power play 9:21 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tanner Skaja assisted on the tally.

Justin King recorded 24 saves for Warroad. The Warriors incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Tigers' Austin Althaus stopped 21 shots out of the 24 that he faced. St. Cloud Tech registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
