Brandon Bloch racked up one point to lead the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles to a 2-1 victory over the Willmar Cardinals.

St. Cloud Apollo stifled Willmar's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Eagles could not produce up to they normal offensive output. St. Cloud Apollo puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game.

Brandon Bissett also scored for St. Cloud Apollo. More assists for St. Cloud Apollo came via Tanner Breidenbach, Jared Christen, Jason Omann, and Jordan Keller, who each chipped in one.

The Cardinals were held below their usual level of production. Willmar averages 3.5 goals per game.

The Cardinals were led by Josh Tinklenber, who scored the team's only goal. Tinklenber scored 10:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Willmar. Trey Tollefson picked up the assist.

Nick Althaus made 14 saves for the Eagles on 15 shots. St. Cloud Apollo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Willmar's Joe Benson stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Cardinals incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
