Jared Christen had two goals and one assist to lead the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles to a 5-2 victory over the Sartell-St.Stephen Sabres.

Christen found the back of the net 12:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Cloud Apollo and again while 41 seconds into the second to make the score 3-0 St. Cloud Apollo.

St. Cloud Apollo put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Sartell-St.Stephen to score on any of its four power plays. The Eagles' offense rang up 38 shots on the Sabres' net.

St. Cloud Apollo also got points from Tanner Breidenbach, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Brandon Bissett also scored for St. Cloud Apollo. In addition, St. Cloud Apollo received assists from Paul Kenney, who had two and Brandon Baker, Grady Ewing, Jacob Kemp, and Steven Maus, who each chipped in one.

Sartell-St.Stephen was led by Cullen Chisholm, who finished with one goal. Chisholm scored 13:39 into the third period to make the score 4-2 St. Cloud Apollo. Tyler Minkel picked up the assist. Sartell-St.Stephen also got a goal from Austin Gohl as well.

Nick Althaus rejected 22 shots on goal for St. Cloud Apollo. The Eagles incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Elliott Brookins recorded 33 saves for the Sabres. Sartell-St.Stephen incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
