Little Falls stifles St. Cloud Apollo's comeback, gains 4-2 victory

The Little Falls Flyers, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Little Falls and clinched a 4-2 victory.

The Flyers led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Little Falls' Nathan Adamietz's scored short handed at 15:04 in the second period to put the Flyers up 4-1.

Little Falls was led by Thomas Miller, who registered one goal and one assist. Miller scored 5:59 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Little Falls. Ben Newman assisted on the tally.

Austin Fenske also scored for Little Falls. In addition, Little Falls received assists from Luke Majerle, who had one and Austin Bjorge, who had two.

The St. Cloud Apollo Eagles were held below their usual level of production. St. Cloud Apollo puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Eagles were helped by Jason Omann, who tallied one goal. Omann scored 32 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 St. Cloud Apollo. Jared Christen picked up the assist. St. Cloud Apollo also got a goal from Tanner Breidenbach as well. More assists for St. Cloud Apollo came via Paul Kenney, who had one.

The Flyers' Michael Stumpf stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Little Falls was hit with 30 minutes in penalty time with two majors. Nick Althaus recorded 19 saves for St. Cloud Apollo. The Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
