Bjorge nets hat trick, leads Little Falls to 5-3 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice

A hat trick by Austin Bjorge was the highlight in Flyers' 5-3 win against the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm.

Bjorge's first goal came 9:33 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:22 into the third and at 10:57 into the third.

The Little Falls Flyers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Sauk Rapids-Rice was unable to stop Little Falls from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flyers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Mark Anez also scored for Little Falls. In addition, Little Falls received assists from Luke Majerle, who had two, Matthew Stumpf, who had three, and Ben Newman and Nathan Adamietz, who each chipped in one.

The Storm stifled Little Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Sauk Rapids-Rice could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Storm were led by James Geisler, who tallied one goal and one assist. Geisler scored 10:52 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Wyatt Orth provided the assist. Sauk Rapids-Rice also got a goal from Brandon Duray as well. Other players who recorded assists for Sauk Rapids-Rice were Mathew Meyer, who had one.

Michael Stumpf recorded 17 saves for the Flyers. Little Falls totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-6 on the power play. Sauk Rapids-Rice's William Mortenson stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced.
