Fenske leads Little Falls over Sartell-St.Stephen, 6-0

Behind a great game by Austin Fenske, who had two goals and two assists, the Little Falls Flyers defeated the Sartell-St.Stephen Sabres, 6-0.

Fenske scored at 8:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Little Falls and again while 6:48 into the second to make the score 3-0 Little Falls.

Little Falls was boosted by Michael Stumpf, who turned in a shutout with 29 saves. Stumpf managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.74 prior to the game.

Sartell-St.Stephen was unable to stop the Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Little Falls eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Flyers outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Little Falls averages 3.8 goals per contest.

Little Falls also got points from Luke Majerle, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Ben Newman, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Thomas Miller, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Little Falls came via Austin Bjorge, who had one.

The Sabres excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Sartell-St.Stephen was held below its usual level of production. The Sabres put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

The Flyers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Elliott Brookins rejected 28 shots on goal for Sartell-St.Stephen. The Sabres incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
