The Sartell-St.Stephen Sabres and the Bemidji Lumberjacks skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Two goals from Spencer Zwiener and one point from Ethan Lorsung could not prevent Sartell-St.Stephen from drawing with Bemidji, 4-4 (OT).

The Lumberjacks were unable to stop the Sabres from sending pucks towards the net, and Sartell-St.Stephen eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. The Sabres cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Andrew Lindmeier also scored for Sartell-St.Stephen. In addition, Sartell-St.Stephen received assists from Kyle Erickson, Aaron Randall, and Tyler Minkel, who contributed one a piece.

Bemidji surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lumberjacks have scored at the pace of 1.7 goal per game during the current campaign.

Bemidji was helped by Micheal Forseth, who finished with one goal. Forseth scored on the power play 5:26 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Lumberjacks had taken the advantage when Sartell-St.Stephen's Zwiener got sent off for hooking. Brett Isensee picked up the assist. Bemidji additionally got points from Noah Burns, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Mike Sauer, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Matt Serratore, who also registered one goal and one assist.

Elliott Brookins rejected 24 shots on goal for the Sabres. Sartell-St.Stephen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gabe Heifort recorded 36 saves for Bemidji. The Lumberjacks totaled 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors and went 1-for-3 on the power play. For Bemidji, Sam Starkey was ejected from the game.
