Rogers downs St. Michael-Albertville, 5-1

Nate Weber tallied one point to lead the Rogers Royals to a 5-1 victory over the St. Michael-Albertville Knights.

Rogers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Royals forced St. Michael-Albertville goalie Matt Borgen to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Rogers also got points from Jason Roberge, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Rogers also had goals scored by Alexander Lorman, who had one and Jacob Walker, who had two. In addition, Rogers received assists from Brandon Spah, who had two and Travis Brown and Matt Hellickson, who each chipped in one.

The Knights did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. St. Michael-Albertville puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Knights were led by Mike Ryan, who scored the team's only goal. Ryan scored 5:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

Blake Ternus made 16 saves for Rogers on 17 shots. The Royals incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Borgen recorded 32 saves for St. Michael-Albertville. The Knights incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
