Roseau rips Warroad, 4-0

The Roseau Rams were firing on all cylinders against the Warroad Warriors, and when the final buzzer sounded Rams emerged with a 4-0 win.

Zach Yon was all over the ice for Roseau, as he registered two goals in the win. Yon's tallies came on the power play at 10:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Roseau and on the power play 13:02 into the second to make the score 3-0 Roseau.

The Rams stifled Warroad's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Roseau's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Rams allow 2.5 goals per game.

Roseau additionally got points from Cole Bjugson, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Roseau also got a goal from Alex Halstensgard as well. In addition, Roseau received assists from Alex Strand, Dylan Mielke, Alex Ziegler, Brady Castle, Jack Helgeson, and James Braun, who each chipped in one.

The Warriors' offense operated below they season average. Warroad averages 3.7 goals per game. The Warriors struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Roseau to score two power play goals on three chances.

Ryan Anderson recorded 23 saves for the Rams. Roseau incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Justin King made 24 saves for Warroad on 28 shots. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
