Huminski's big game bests Roseau in 9-4 Minnetonka win

Charles Huminski was all over the ice for the Minnetonka Skippers, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Minnetonka's 9-4 win over the Roseau Rams.

Huminski found the back of the net 6:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minnetonka and again while 6:59 into the second to make the score 4-2 Minnetonka.

The Skippers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Minnetonka averages 5.9 goals per game. The 34 shots that the Skippers put on net surpassed Minnetonka's average of 4.7 shots per game this season.

Minnetonka also got points from Connor Thie, who also racked up one goal and three assists, Max Coatta, who also registered two goals and two assists, Jared Ridge, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Thomas Brandabur, who also had two goals and one assist. Minnetonka also got a goal from Austin Burt as well. In addition, Minnetonka received assists from Tommy Vannelli, Charles Burton, Samuel McNeill, and Jack Ramsey, who contributed one a piece.

Roseau was led by Zach Yon, who racked up two goals and one assist. Yon scored the first of his two goals at 16:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cole Bjugson provided the assist. Yon's next tally made the score 9-4 Minnetonka with 7:31 left in the third period. The Rams played down a man on Jake Leverington's high sticking. Roseau additionally got points from Alex Strand, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tanner Okeson also scored for Roseau. More assists for Roseau came via Alex Halstensgard and Alex Ziegler, who each chipped in one.

Paul Ciaccio made 16 saves for the Skippers on 20 shots. Minnetonka totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Roseau's Ryan Anderson stopped 25 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Rams incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
