Huge game by Weber boosts Rogers over Proctor, 7-3

The Rogers Royals' Nate Weber had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-3 win over the Proctor Rails.

Weber scored at 16:03 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Rogers and again while 5:58 into the second to make the score 4-1 Rogers.

Rogers stifled Proctor's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rails were unable to stop the Royals from sending pucks towards the net, and Rogers eventually piled up 49 shots on goal. The Royals found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Rogers averages 4.0 goals per contest.

Rogers additionally got points from Alexander Lorman, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Spencer Marchand, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Brandon Spah, who also had one goal and one assist. Jason Roberge also scored for Rogers. In addition, Rogers received assists from Travis Brown, Matt Hellickson, Jacob Walker, and Tyler Antony, who contributed one a piece.

Proctor did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 11 saves.

The Rails were led by Jake Malec, who finished with one goal. Malec scored 10:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Proctor. Proctor also got a goal from Brodie Nordquist as well. More assists for Proctor came via Jack Nikko, Josh Ernst, Evan Scherber, and Shane Gould, who each chipped in one.

Brock Maxwell made 11 saves for the Royals on 14 shots. Rogers totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Proctor's Isaac Scherber stopped 42 shots out of the 49 that he faced. The Rails totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
