The Prior Lake Lakers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Rochester Lourdes Eagles held on for a 3-1 victory.

Rochester Lourdes made the score 3-0 on a goal by Alex Funk at 48 seconds in the third period, and Prior Lake got as close as 3-1 when Austin Polson McCannon scored 9:17 into the third period.

The Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

The Lakers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Prior Lake averages 3.4 goals per game. Rochester Lourdes was unable to stop the Lakers from sending pucks towards the net, and Prior Lake eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Jack Berkel made 33 saves for the Eagles on 34 shots. Rochester Lourdes totaled 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Lakers' Jordan Moran stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Prior Lake incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
