Austin outlasts Rochester John Marshall, 3-2

The Austin Packers and the Rochester John Marshall Rockets were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Austin made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Ethan larson's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The Packers were led by larson, who had one goal and one assist. Larson scored on the power play 16:17 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Austin. A hooking penalty on Nick Paulson had put Austin on the power play. Marcus Stoulil provided the assist.

The Packers were sparked by larson, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

Austin also got points from Stoulil, who also registered one goal and one assist. Austin also got a goal from Tony Baudler as well. In addition, Austin received assists from Cole Nicol, Conor Peterson, and Nick Castellano, who contributed one a piece.

The Rockets were helped by Alec McGinn, who racked up two goals. McGinn scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:44 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Hunter Heightland assisted on the tally. McGinn's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 5:15 left in the third period. Jake Dravis picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Rochester John Marshall were Garrett Strom, who had one.

The Packers' Rainer Londino-Green stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Austin incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Patric Sadeki rejected 20 shots on goal for Rochester John Marshall. The Rockets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
