Behind a great game by Beau Mikel, who had two goals, the Marshall Tigers defeated the Redwood Valley Cardinals, 4-1.

Mikel scored at 6:06 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Marshall and again while 8:24 into the third to make the score 3-1 Marshall.

Redwood Valley was unable to stop Marshall from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tigers eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Marshall additionally got points from Quinn Horvath, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Corey Clark also scored for Marshall. More assists for Marshall came via Brent Haukom and Levi Hedman, who each chipped in one.

The Cardinals managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Redwood Valley ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. The Cardinals were held below their usual level of production.
