Lindstrom leads Breck School over Providence Academy, 6-2Plymouth Ice Center Tue, Jan 29, 2013 Behind a great game by Thomas Lindstrom, who had two goals and one assist, the Breck School Mustangs defeated the Providence Academy Lions, 6-2. Lindstrom found the back of the net 11:33 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Breck School and again while 12:35 into the third to make the score 5-2 Breck School.Breck School managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Mustangs wound up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. Providence Academy was unable to stop Breck School from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mustangs eventually piled up 62 shots on goal. Breck School also got points from Lucas McCormick, who also had one goal and one assist and Matt Colford, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Breck School also got a goal from Mark Sharp as well. In addition, Breck School received assists from Jack O''Connor, Ben Gleekel, and Maxwell Schwartzman, who contributed one a piece and Andrew Keiser and Derek Wiitala, who each chipped in two. The Lions' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Breck School power plays. Providence Academy could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Lions average 4.6 goals per game. Providence Academy found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 10 shots against Breck School's defense. The Lions were helped by Matt Murphy, who finished with one goal. Murphy scored 5:07 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Jack McGinty picked up the assist. Michael Cossette also scored for Providence Academy. Other players who recorded assists for Providence Academy were Jack McGeehan and Parker DeRosier, who contributed one a piece. Henry Johnson recorded eight saves for the Mustangs. Providence Academy's Nick Pruden stopped 56 shots out of the 62 that he faced. The Lions incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
