Poganski's hat trick boosts St. Cloud Cathedral over Proctor, 6-0

The Proctor Rails could not stop the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders' Austin Poganski, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-0 win.

Poganski's first goal came 11:59 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:52 into the first and at 15:27 into the second.

Proctor's power play was ineffective against St. Cloud Cathedral's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Crusaders stifled the Rails' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Cloud Cathedral featured an improved defense during the game. The Crusaders gives up 2.6 goals on average per game. St. Cloud Cathedral could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Cloud Cathedral also had goals scored by Leo Lommel, who had one and Peter Spethmann, who had two. More assists for St. Cloud Cathedral came via Trevor Cornelius, who had one and Austin Swingle, who had two.

Proctor was held below its usual level of production. The Rails average 3.6 goals per game. The Crusaders' defense shut down Proctor's forwards for much of the game, and the Rails got off only nine shots during the contest. Proctor's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to St. Cloud Cathedral's power play unit.

Joshua Robak rejected nine shots on goal for the Crusaders. The Rails' Jacob Mercier stopped 16 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Proctor incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
