Gavin Payne tallied two points to lead the Orono Spartans to a 4-0 victory over the Mound-Westonka Whitehawks.

Orono managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Spartans finished below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Orono's defense was surprisingly good. The Spartans gives up 2.6 goals on average per game.

Zach Grochowski also scored for Orono. Other players who recorded assists for Orono were Silas Cleveland, who had two and Sam Challgren and Joey Luedtke, who contributed one a piece.

Mound-Westonka managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Whitehawks ended up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. Mound-Westonka did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Whitehawks put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. By firing 17 shots on goal, Mound-Westonka exceeded the 1.4 shot it averages per game this year.
