The Northern Lakes Lightning and the Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Moose were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Northern Lakes made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Kegan Couture's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Couture was all over the ice for the Lightning, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Couture scored on the power play 13:21 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Northern Lakes. Northern Lakes had taken the advantage when Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake's Birk Olson got sent off for cross checking. Aspen Florey provided the assist.

Northern Lakes also had goals scored by Alex Galligan, who had one and Ben Moe, who had two. In addition, Northern Lakes received assists from Gaven Bickford and Derek French, who each chipped in one.

The Moose were led by Robbie Stromme, who racked up two goals. Stromme scored the first of his two goals at 4:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake. Stromme's next tally made the score 2-2 with 19:42 left in the third period. Spencer Nelson picked up the assist. Resse Carstens also scored for Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake. Other players who recorded assists for Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake were Colton Jones, who had one.

Mitch Stangel rejected 22 shots on goal for the Lightning. Northern Lakes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Darien Jones recorded 18 saves for Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake. The Moose incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
