Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl downs North Shore in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl Blue Devils' Colton Anderson scored 3:46 into overtime to beat North Shore, 5-4 (OT).

Anderson was all over the ice for Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl, as he registered two goals in the win.

The Blue Devils stifled North Shore's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North Shore was unable to stop Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blue Devils eventually piled up 48 shots on goal. Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Blue Devils have scored at the pace of 2.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl additionally got points from Zach Voss, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Mitch Sella, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jordan Przybylski also scored for Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl. More assists for Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl came via Louie Judnick, who had one.

North Shore excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

North Shore was led by Luke Small, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Small scored the first of his two goals at 5:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 North Shore. Austyn Wasko assisted on the tally. Small's next tally made the score 4-4 with 5:20 left in the third period. A cross checking call on Bradley Rowlee put North Shore on the penalty kill. North Shore also got a goal from Tyler Schramm as well. In addition, North Shore received assists from Ryan Rasmussen and Lucas Kempffer, who contributed one a piece.

Andrew Sederlund rejected 19 shots on goal for Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl. The Blue Devils incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Zach Duresky recorded 43 saves for North Shore. North Shore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
