North Shore boosted by Duresky's play in net, beats Proctor 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Zach Duresky helped North Shore defeat the Proctor Rails, 4-1.

North Shore's penalty kill excelled, as North Shore gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

North Shore was led by Johah Koehler, who tallied one goal. Koehler scored 7:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 North Shore.

North Shore stifled Proctor's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North Shore was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 18 penalty minutes.

North Shore additionally got points from Luke Small, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brad Rowlee also scored for North Shore. Other players who recorded assists for North Shore were Mills Johnson and Kory Buckman, who contributed one a piece.

North Shore was unable to stop the Rails from sending pucks towards the net, and Proctor eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Rails could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Proctor was led by Brodie Nordquist, who scored the team's only goal. Nordquist scored 14:25 into the second period to make the score 3-1 North Shore.

Duresky recorded 33 saves for North Shore. North Shore registered one goal on 10 power play opportunities. The Rails' Jacob Mercier stopped 19 shots out of the 23 that he faced.
