North Shore takes care of Ely/Northeast Range early, wins 11-0

North Shore opened up a six-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to an 11-0 over the Ely/Northeast Range Timberwolves.

North Shore got the win behind a great game by Luke Small, who had five goals and one assist. Small notched his first tally 1:50 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:00 into the first, at 14:05 into the first, at 3:29 into the second, and at 11:50 into the third.

North Shore's defensive effort looked to be improved. North Shore allows 2.7 goals per game. North Shore's offense rang up 58 shots on Ely/Northeast Range's net. North Shore found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. North Shore has scored at the pace of 4.9 goals per game during the current campaign. North Shore's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

North Shore also got points from Tyler Schramm, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Thomas Anderson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. North Shore also had goals scored by Mike Nordean, who had two and Austyn Wasko and Corey Johnson, who scored one goal each. In addition, North Shore received assists from Jonah Koehler, who had three, Brock LeBlanc and Lucas Kempffer, who contributed one a piece, and Mills Johnson and Kory Buckman, who each chipped in two.

The Timberwolves could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Ely/Northeast Range averages 2.3 goals per game.

Zach Duresky rejected 18 shots on goal for North Shore. North Shore incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Timberwolves' Kael Richards stopped 47 shots out of the 58 that he faced. Ely/Northeast Range totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
