Koehler nets hat trick, leads North Shore to 11-0 win over Ely/Northeast Range

Johah Koehler netted a hat trick to lead North Shore over the Ely/Northeast Range Timberwolves, 11-0.

Koehler got on the scoresheet 2:35 into the second period. He then added goals at 3:08 into the third and at 13:38 into the third.

North Shore's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Ely/Northeast Range power plays. North Shore's offense rang up 57 shots on Ely/Northeast Range's net. North Shore bested its season scoring average. North Shore averages 7.7 goals per game.

North Shore also got points from Tyler Schramm, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, Brad Rowlee, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Nick Johnson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. North Shore also got a goal from Luke Small as well. In addition, North Shore received assists from Ryan Rasmussen, who had three and Austyn Wasko and Kory Buckman, who each chipped in one.

The Timberwolves were held below their usual level of production. Ely/Northeast Range averages 2.5 goals per game.

North Shore's Zach Duresky stopped 18 shots out of the 18 that he faced. North Shore totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-2 on the power play. Kael Richards made 46 saves for the Timberwolves on 57 shots. Ely/Northeast Range ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major.
