A hat trick by Eric Ylitalo was the highlight in Tigers' 5-3 win against the New Ulm Eagles.

Ylitalo's first goal came 11:01 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:01 into the second and at 4:47 into the third.

The Delano/Rockford Tigers forced New Ulm goalie Brach Kraus to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Delano/Rockford additionally got points from Adam McLain, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Hunter Hart also scored for Delano/Rockford. More assists for Delano/Rockford came via Jack Nelson, who had one, Lars Halonen, who had two, and Justin Oja, who had three.

The Eagles were helped by Colin Huffman, who registered one goal and one assist. Huffman scored 5:08 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Mitch Neid picked up the assist. New Ulm also got points from Wyatt Peterson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. New Ulm also got a goal from Lucas Heiderscheidt as well. In addition, New Ulm received assists from Blake Neumann, who had one.

Delano/Rockford's Brett Norling stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Tigers totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. Kraus rejected 44 shots on goal for New Ulm. The Eagles ended with no penalties and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
