Princeton rolls over Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson, 4-0

The Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs had trouble finding ways to stop the Princeton Tigers, which beat Mustangs, 4-0.

Princeton was paced by Cam Paulson, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Paulson scored 4:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Princeton. Collin Buness provided the assist.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson power plays. Princeton's offense operated below it season average. The Tigers average 6.1 goals per game. Princeton was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Tigers average 2.1 goals allowed per game. Princeton forced Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson goalie Tanner Baxley to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Princeton also got points from Buness, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Dan Muench, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Princeton also got a goal from Jordan Forschen as well. In addition, Princeton received assists from Daniel Voce, who had one.

The Mustangs could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson puts an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game.

The Tigers' Max Mattson stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Princeton totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Tanner Baxley made 34 saves for the Mustangs on 38 shots. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
