Skaja's hat trick boosts St. Cloud Tech over Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake, 5-3Monticello Arena Thu, Dec 20, 2012 The Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Moose could not stop the St. Cloud Tech Tigers' Tanner Skaja, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-3 win. Skaja notched his first tally 3:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:20 into the first and at 11:52 into the third.St. Cloud Tech kept Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Isaacson made 29 saves on 34 shots. St. Cloud Tech also got points from Riley Bates, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jake Samuelson also scored for St. Cloud Tech. More assists for St. Cloud Tech came via Joe Setrum, who had one and Jake Peterson and Matt Brettingen, who contributed three a piece. The Moose were helped by Colton Jones, who grabbed one goal. Jones scored 9:41 into the third period to make the score 4-3 St. Cloud Tech. Tanner Schreiner provided the assist. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake also got a goal from Robbie Stromme as well. Other players who recorded assists for Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake were Mark Rieger-Borer, Oliver Winsor, and Resse Carstens, who each chipped in one. Austin Althaus made 20 saves for the Tigers on 23 shots. St. Cloud Tech incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
