Olson's big game bests Marshall in 7-0 Luverne winMarshall Amateur Hockey Assoc. Thu, Jan 03, 2013 The Luverne Cardinals' Gunnar Olson had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-0 win over the Marshall Tigers. Olson's tallies came at 1:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Luverne and 5:39 into the third to make the score 5-0 Luverne.Luverne's offense rang up 31 shots on Marshall's net. Luverne also got points from Chaz Smedsrud, who also grabbed three goals and one assist and Logan Norman, who also finished with one goal and three assists. Skyler Wenninger also scored for Luverne. In addition, Luverne received assists from Austin Maxwell, who had three and Travis Frakes, Matthew Sterrett, and Toby Sengvongxay, who contributed one a piece.
