Behind a great game by Isaish Brogden, who had two goals, the Faribault Falcons defeated the Mankato East/Loyola Cougars, 3-0.

Brogden found the back of the net short handed 6:38 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Faribault and again while 13:19 into the third to make the score 3-0 Faribault.

Faribault stifled Mankato East/Loyola's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Cody Colegrove also scored for Faribault. More assists for Faribault came via Luke Thom, Daniel Pierce, Logan Murphy, and Connor Wierschem, who contributed one a piece.

The Cougars put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Falcons to score on any of their three power plays. Mankato East/Loyola's offense operated below it season average. The Cougars average 2.9 goals per game.

Austin Andreas made 21 saves for Faribault on 21 shots. The Falcons ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Aaron Kroeber recorded 26 saves for Mankato East/Loyola. The Cougars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
