Marshall boosted by Campion's play in net, beats Luverne 4-1

The Marshall Tigers relied on the sparkling performance of Masion Campion in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Luverne Cardinals.

Marshall was led by Quinn Horvath, who finished with one goal. Horvath scored 15:38 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Marshall. Beau Mikel assisted on the tally.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Luverne power plays.

Marshall additionally got points from Mikel, who also had one goal and one assist and Corey Clark, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Marshall also got a goal from Alex Buysse as well. Other players who recorded assists for Marshall were Leo Zerr, who had one.

Luverne was led by Toby Sengvongxay, who scored the team's only goal. Sengvongxay scored 31 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Luverne. Gunnar Olson picked up the assist.

Marshall's Campion stopped 28 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Tigers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kendall Meyer made 22 saves for the Cardinals on 26 shots. Luverne incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
