St. Cloud Cathedral beats Little Falls 3-1 after comeback scareLittle Falls Exchange Arena Tue, Jan 29, 2013 The Little Falls Flyers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders held on for a 3-1 victory. St. Cloud Cathedral took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Little Falls storm back on a Ben Newman goal 11:11 into the third period to pull to two goals down. The Crusaders got the win behind a great game by Austin Poganski, who had one goal and two assists. Poganski scored 10:08 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Cloud Cathedral. Will Hammer picked up the assist. St. Cloud Cathedral stifled the Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Crusaders' offense rang up 44 shots on Little Falls' net. St. Cloud Cathedral also got points from Tommy Hall, who also registered two goals and one assist. In addition, St. Cloud Cathedral received assists from Mitchell Fritz, who had one. The Flyers' offense operated below they season average. Little Falls puts an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game. Other players who recorded assists for Little Falls were Matthew Stumpf and Austin Bjorge, who each chipped in one. Joshua Robak made 21 saves for St. Cloud Cathedral on 22 shots. The Crusaders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Michael Stumpf recorded 41 saves for the Flyers. Little Falls totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play.
